Children are special here at Central Baptist. We believe the Bible when it says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Since that kind of training must first begin at home, our objective here at Central is to assist the parent.

Sunday School
For Preschool and Children we are currently implementing the "Explore the Bible" curriculum from Lifeway (www.lifeway.com/sundayschool). Click below for more information about our Sunday School program .

AWANA Clubs
Our AWANA Clubs for boys and girls from age three to fifth grade, meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays between September and May. AWANA, which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” meets on Wednesday evenings and is a wonderful tool for the kids in our church. Our clubs and programs make Scripture memorization fun and are geared to the needs of a range of ages and grades.

KIDMO
We at Central Baptist know that kids have energy, availability and enthusiasm to accomplish great things. KIDMO, for children in grades 1-5, and Lil’ K, for children ages 3-5, are worship experiences geared toward children that help them to develop a biblical worldview. These groups meet each Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m.

World Changers
We believe that kids are world changers and their spiritual foundation is set before the age of 12. By fostering a biblical worldview with them, we are initiating global transformation for years to come.

Meet Laura Terry,
Director of Children's Ministries
Laura was born in Macon, GA on March 19, 1960. She married Bill in July of 1982 and they have three sons, Ben, Stephen, and Jonathan. Laura has served as Director of Children's Ministries at First Baptist of Garden City, GA, Eastside Baptist Church in Claxton, GA, and First Baptist Church of Jackson, GA. She came on staff at Central in August of 2008. Laura has a great love for children and it is a tremendous blessing to have such a gifted and talented person leading our Children's Ministry here at Central.
