Music is a gift from God -
a tool to encourage the saints
and a witness to the lost.

The purpose of our music ministry is to help the people of God worship Him in song. Choirs and instrumental music add to the flavor of the worship at Central and opportunities are available for everyone to participate. Our worship services include everything from beloved traditional hymns to popular contemporary Christian songs.

Music ministry holds an important place at Central Baptist Church and provides our members with an opportunity to share their talents as well as their love of worship. We have choirs for adults, seniors, youth and children as well as an orchestra – each with the goal of glorifying our Lord, Jesus Christ. In addition, our music ministry presents a drama during the Easter season every year.

The production involves over 200 people, including performance, lighting, sound, makeup, nursery, props, etc. It is our joy to present the gospel in such a powerful way to our community and see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our music ministry recognizes that music is not an end in itself, but a tool God has given us to encourage the saints, witness to the lost, and ultimately praise and worship Him. Each person has an opportunity to be involved in this ministry through vital congregational singing and membership in one or more of our choirs or instrumental ministries. Vibrant congregational singing is evidence of an alive and exciting fellowship. Your participation is important to our corporate worship and is beneficial to your growth as a believer!
