What is Music Camp?
Summer Music Camp is special day camp for children sponsored by Central Baptist Church in Americus, GA. Campers will experience exciting large group environments and personal small group sessions designed to help them discover and develop their interest and passion for music.

Who Can Come to Music Camp?
Music Camp is for any child ages 4 thru 5th Grade(just finished). A child can have absolutely NO previous musical experience or they can be a budding musical genius and still enjoy and benefit from the instruction they’ll receive.

What Does it Cost?
The cost for Music Camp is $60 for the week. The tuition includes lunch each day and a camp t-shirt as well.

What will We Do?
Everyday will start with Blitz!. We’ll sing, we’ll dance and jump around, have crazy games, and wake ourselves up. Then every camper will have Total Music! A class consisting of other kids their age and reading ability exploring the world of music together. Each child will also participate in one of two Camp Choirs based on age. Campers will also have Rec Time each day after lunch where they’ll get some fresh air and a chance to burn some energy! Each day will also include a Daily Showcase! just for the campers. Music professionals from around GA will share their talent with us and inspire your children to keep learning and practicing! Finally, each child will be able to choose 2 Trax! where they’ll receive personal instruction in a small group setting. Then at the end of the week, we’re going to invite you to join us for a special concert: Joyful Noise! Your whole family will be invited to come and hear what your camper(s) have worked on through the week.

Rockbridge Day camp 2010?

What is Rockbridge Day Camp?
Rockbridge is a resident camp environment in a day camp format. Campers are challenged daily to grow mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually through Bible study, crafts, adventure, and recreation. The camp is designed for boys and girls who have completed 1st-5th grades.

Who is Rockbridge Day Camp?
Chip Cofer – In September 2001, Chip left his corporate job and joined the staff of Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Atlanta to pursue his passion for connecting people to Christ through adventure and recreation. He started Rockbridge Day Camp at Mount Vernon during the summer of 2001 and has had nine successful summers of ministry.

Jim Strickland – Jim has 20 years of experience working with camps and conference centers. He started his camping career in 1989 working at Camp Kaleo in Forsyth, GA during college. He has worked with Centrifuge Camps across the country, SAMBICA Camp and Conference Center in Bellevue, WA, and was the founding director for Camp Glorieta for Boys and Girls in Glorieta, NM. He is an active member of American Camp Association (ACA) and Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA).

Central Baptist Church – The focus of the camp is centered on Christ, through the leadership of CBC, under the direction of Rockbridge Adventures. This is accomplished by hiring a counselor staff made up of high school and college students from CBC. Rockbridge Day Camp utilizes these local staff to minister and disciple the campers from the host church and community through our day camp program. Our hope is that the relationships formed over the summer will be fostered throughout the year. The benefits include leadership growth, community impact, and new relationships.

Boys and Girls, completed 1st-5th grades

$145 per session

Extended Care available (8:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-5:00 p.m.)
for an additional $25 per session.
